How I Reduced Hair Fall Using Shikakai & Soapnut Powder
Hair fall didn’t hit me suddenly. It was gradual — more strands on the pillow, more hair in the shower, and a quiet sense of thinning over time. I tried changing shampoos, blaming water and stress, but what finally made a real difference was switching to shikakai and soapnut powder.
Why I Chose Shikakai & Soapnut
I wanted something simple, natural, and gentle on the scalp. Shikakai and soapnut have been used for generations and clean the hair without stripping away natural oils — something most commercial shampoos fail to do.
How I Used It
I mixed shikakai powder and soapnut powder with warm water to make a thin paste.
On wash days:
- Applied it directly to the scalp
- Gently massaged for about a minute
- Left it on for 3–5 minutes
- Rinsed thoroughly with plain water
No shampoo. No conditioner.
What I Noticed
Within a few weeks, the changes were clear:
- Hair fall reduced significantly
- Scalp felt calmer with less itchiness
- Hair texture became softer and easier to manage
The biggest win wasn’t instant regrowth — it was reduced shedding, which is essential for healthy hair.
What I Learned
- Over-cleansing can worsen hair fall
- Gentle scalp care matters more than heavy foaming
- Consistency works better than quick fixes
Final Thoughts
Shikakai and soapnut won’t give overnight miracles, but they help restore balance. Combined with good sleep, basic nutrition, and lower stress, they can make a noticeable difference over time.
Sometimes, traditional solutions work best because they support the body instead of fighting it.
